The proprietors of the Daily Hamster are Jay, Leslie, JD, and Julianne. We have two very sweet winter white dwarf hamsters named Thunder and Lightning. We named them that because we brought them home in the middle of a thunderstorm. Thunder is grey and Lightning is mostly white. They have never changed color, though they are supposed to turn white in winter and grey in summer. Our indoor lighting is apparently too steady to stimulate the change. You will see a great deal of Thunder and Lightning on TDH and at our Flickr photostream.
